I’m behind on tutorials for my Dirt Path, but I saw a few requests/questions about how the overlaying on official paths work. I’m doing a quick write-up on it here for those who are struggling.

1. Depending on the type of pattern you lay down, the color of the Dirt Path pattern will be affected. In order to match the Dirt Path color (without the official path), I recommend using the light brown official dirt path. If you would like a darker color, use the dark brown official dirt path. Lay your paths down.
   
   
2. After you’ve finished that, you can use either the Custom Design App or select Custom Design path and select a Dirt Path pattern.
   IMPORTANT: If you are trying to overlay a pattern on the official path, there must be at least one transparent pixel. You can use any of the edge patterns, Dirt Path C Clear v1, or Dirt Path C Clear v2 without issue. If you use the full center patterns, it won’t work, so be mindful of that.
   
   
3. You can mix and match the patterns to give your path variety as seen in the third pic, and voila! You are done. :)

I’ve gotten a number of requests and questions since putting the Dirt Path up yesterday, but I don’t have the time to reply to each and every single person right now. I’ll try and put together a guide or FAQ on using the tiles this weekend.

In the meantime, for those wondering if I will release a horizontal single path and a few other things (like corners and endcaps), yes! I made the horizontal single path last night as well as corners, but I still need endcaps for the single tile paths. They should all roll out sometime today. :)

I completed a dirt path which can be used either as an overlay for the official paths or just as patterns to lay down on the ground. You can download the patterns by looking up my Creator ID (MA-7376-5758-0005) or by downloading them individually from this album. Additionally, I’m including some notes below for what I’d recommend based on what you’re planning to do.

If you intend to use these as an overlay for the official paths feature in the game, you can use Dirt Path C Clear v1 and v2 in addition to the edges (Dirt Path L, Dirt Path R, Dirt Path TC, and Dirt Path BC).

If you intend to use these independently of the path feature as seen in my forest image, you’ll need all of them if you want diagonals.

Somebody requested it after visiting my island, so here is my creator id on Animal Crossing: New Horizons to access my space-themed pathway! I was inspired by a few different creations I saw, and I decided to make my own. There are two options: Single pathway (pictured first) and double pathway (pictured last). I created the paths to fit my needs on my own island, so if there is a particular piece of this pathway that you’d like, let me know, and I’ll create whatever you need!
