Alejandro Jodorowsky @alejandro.jodorowsky turns 93 today. Happy birthday, Maestro. Jodorowsky is known as a writer of graphic stories, mainly in a world he created that has been called the “Jodoverse,” which includes The Incal (art by Moebius) and Metabarons (art by Gimenez). His primary occupation is that of filmmaker whose major works are “El Topo” (1970) and “The Holy Mountain” (1973). These days, the film for which he’s best known is one he didn’t direct about a movie he didn’t make: the documentary “Jodorowsky’s Dune.” This is a poster (swipe for details) by artist Hugo Emmanuel Figueroa @hugoemmanuelfigueroa for that movie. The poster, like the story the documentary tells, is chock full of weirdness we can’t even begin to go into here. Just enjoy it.
