thinking about the idea of the band being cut out from the design of the album art so the image we see is coming out of them as if the album is representing something internal which coupled with palindrome of 5SOS5 as the title where either direction of reading you get 5SOS in the first four characters to suggest how much of the self is both present and removed within a group project that a new album from the band is along with the notion of symmetry and implied reflection with a palindrome where there technically isn’t actual reflection given the direction of the characters as a metaphor to the sense of growing and changing that we do, that as we look back or look forward, we don’t actually appear the same as we currently do, even if it’s something similar. which going back to the cutouts in the art emphasizes how much of ourselves we do and do not keep the same over time, fittting for this album that seems to come from them having grown individually and reassessing how to grow together as a band.

okay so 5sos have a song called take my hand which is basically a lyric from euphoria by bts. 5sos has also worn a blue fuzzy cardigan like the one jungkook wears in the run? mv and jimin’s jacket in the spring day mv. luke hemmings dropped his mic and bts has a song called mic drop. 5sos are ending their 5th album with a song called “tears” and bts has a song called “tear” where the track was the last on its album. what i’m trying to say is 5sos is army and the real reason they didn’t put the kpop skit in the anniversary show is bc they’re going to use it for album promo ✌️✨
