An appreciation post for one of my favorite birds, the Anhinga! These birds are good divers and will completely submerge to catch their prey. Since they have no oils on their wings to repel water, anhingas have to stretch out their wings to let them dry before they can fly!

was not expecting to see something so unnervingly cool
…You know, I’ve read about anhingas hunting, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen one. I was not prepared.
Some more of my inktober drawings! My first brush pen is already almost dead (to be fair, it’s also ancient, so it may retire early) so I bought another… the old pen will be used for “shading” since I can’t get flow out of it any more.
