“Kirby Quest”

Mass Attack’s “Kirby Quest” (EN) or “Kirby Master” (JP) is named after a HAL Labs JRPG on the SNES called “Card Master” (JP) or “Arcana” (EN). It was one of my favorite JRPGs. And yes, you get stabbed in the back by a friendly, charismatic NPC.

…HAL does seem to love that trope.

Anyway, every time I listen to SDX’s OST (but “Vs Marx” especially) I’m reminded of Arcana’s soundtrack.It’s by Kirby series vets Ishikawa Jun and Ando Hirokazu, so you know it’s good!
