The spirit of Kentaro Miura possessed me for but a brief second and I went out on a piece. I love ink and black and white stuff like this but man does it take long and make your hands hurt. I want a Kirby manga done in Berserk‘s style now.
It’s not Meta-Knight??? I wanted to make Kirby a little older in this comic for whatever reason. Also I’m glad I was able to work on a basic page because I was very busy this week. Here is some concept works for you lads too.
So in my mind, Marx is part noddy part scarfy and he does indeed have the ears. Birth of a Wish was actually started because of convos between me and somebody else about Marx and what he is, so I’ll be going into detail about that in the comics a whole lot.
The first two pages of Birth of a Wish are now up! Expect one comic update per week or so in the summer. I’m excited to test my skills with this dumb little fancomic. EDIT: Changed handwriting to text
…of the volume of Manpuku Pupupu Fantasy where Marx and Kirby were childhood best friends! Manpuku may not be the prettiest looking (and its obsession with Dedede’s butt is a.definite.issue)but I found myself pleasantly satisfied with this one story.
“Do you remember every promise you’ve ever made?” “You’re sure you haven’t forgotten even one?” “A promise languishing somewhere…” “…unfulfilled…?”
It had your standard zany manga Kirby gags, but Marx and Kirby’s friendship was done well, never crossing over into uncomfortable weirdness. This was a nice mix of sympathetic Marx and mischief-gremlin Marx. (Especially gremlin-like, as he lived alone in the tunnels underneath Castle Dedede for 5 years waiting for Kirby!!)
Anyway, really happy to see another manga outside of Moretsu Pupupu Hour attempt to work Marx into the story at all.
I think that Marx not only believes in climate change, I think he is in favor of it. I believe that he has done extensive research into the topic, he fully understands how many people are going to die in the next few decades because of it, and he is excited for it.

Aggie Kirb collab with @processormalfunction (aka bestie I dragged into Kirby hell with me via Metadede), she drew King Dedede and Marx Soul while I drew Meta Knight and Magolor Soul
We both did the lines together on Aggie, I insisted on putting base color, then I got possessed and started doing cell shading jdjcjc
Of course the evil lil bastard boy would be my favorite character because why wouldn’t he be- (there’s also Magolor but I didn’t have enough sketches of him to post lmao)
