Been a few weeks since I drew some digital art but here’s C.Q. in one of my palettes because I just really loved Octo Expansion. Even if he was continuously destroying my Octoling due to failing tests, he is still a friend.

This might be my first time making something for Pride Month, so I decided to make it a bit more special by using some of my own Kirby fan characters show support. I chose a few of my characters I could pair with the appropriate flags here, with reasons for doing so stated under the cut.
Happy Pride Month, everybody!
Halcyon and two rainbow flags? I like to think he’s still figuring out his identity, but he wants to show his support for the LGBT+ community in general and is doing so, twofold!
Next we have Noctali who is proud aro/ace. Sunsa back there also wants to be a part of whatever her master is doing so she’s got the genderqueer flag, which celebrates diversity of gender identity.
Vita is flying the transgender flag, which looks good with him but it’s more than just the cute pastel look. I like to think that Vita has been built with a female persona in mind, but Vita chooses to identify with male pronouns.
As for Luxia, she is a lesbian herself, and wields an axe so it was only fitting to have her with the labrys version of the flag. An axe that is just as powerful as a real one!
Than we have Flurry. She might not be one who’s too open about her identity but she identifies as bi-romantic, and it seems like she’s wanting to make that statement.

Never mentioned that little Scuttle here had a buddy with him, did I? And a very big one at that! This thwomp here is named Deadweight and contrary to his name, he’s the real one carrying his team. Even Deadweight doesn’t know why he’s particularly hanging out with Scuttle; all he knows is that he just really likes wrecking things so that’s good enough for him.

Here’s another Mario fan character. I had the concept for a knightly noki in my mind for a while and finally drew it. Nokis seem to be a bit overshadowed by piantas, so I thought I should give them some acknowledgement with a fan character of my own. Small though he may be, he has great courage in the face of danger, maybe a little too much courage.

Tartar concept that I came up with the other day. He calls himself “Doc” to honor what memories he has left of his creator. Since his mind was scrambled by the killer wail impact, Doc’s been having trouble remembering certain things and now claims the world ‘has come down with a sickness’, believing sanitization is the medicine it needs. He also is known to carry around a giant syringe as well as other medical equipment.

Got a good stylus for my Android today, so here’s a sketchy telephone that helped me tinker around with Medibang a bit.
Going along with the idea that my Octo Tartar stayed at a medical facility for a while, here are his caretakers: Dr. Miso Wakame and Mr. Mochi Zōni. Despite their different personalities, their friendship goes way back before their professional careers and the two are currently working on ways to study, rehabilitate and cure the Sanitized. To think these two have no idea that one of their patients is actually responsible for the whole mess they’re dedicated to fixing.
And even with Tartar out of the medical facility the former AI still commits to visiting these two frequently for his medical needs (as well as other reasons).

Occupation:Caretaker/Nurse
Personality: Mochi has a gentle and uplifting personality with a deep need to make others around him happy. However he is a little to quick to trust people and is prone to hiding his personal problems.

Just some fun with more ideas for my Octo Tartar. I like to think that being a former telephone he has the ability to link up to telecommunication devices by linking wires up to his head and listening in via his own receiver. Also worth noting the red light is on when Tartar is receiving transmissions.
Maybe eventually Tartar will even find a way to send signals back using just his voice! But for now the radio tower will serve as his new base of operations while he tries to find the whereabouts of his professor.

Been tempted to design myself an Octoling for the longest time and I finally got around to it. They’re an easygoing individual who is happy to partake in aspects of Inkling culture and mains an Inkbrush, despite everyone telling them to use Octobrush. This Octoling also fancies the Annaki brand in particular and is called ‘Lightning’ by peers due to the earring they’re wearing.

Really diggin’ the theme of the upcoming Splatfest and just wanted to draw some steampunk Pearlie to show support for team Retro. Also got a certain telephone there for, you know, aesthetic reasons.
