March ArtSnacks Challenge / Happy Birthday ArtSnacks! I lost it when I opened this box - this has pretty much been my wish list I’ve never used professional or tube watercolors, hot pressed paper, or Filbert brushes. I also love Warheads

Supplies: M. Graham & Co. watercolor (terra rosa, titanium white), Protégé taklon filbert brush (size 4), Koh-I-Noor Triograph graphite pencil (2B), and Stonehenge Aqua hot press pad. The stars came from the tissue paper used in the box

ArtSnacks Challenge | February 2017

Lots of goodies in this month’s box: Pentalic Drawing Set (graphite in HB, 2B, and 6B, medium and soft charcoal, and white pastel), KRINK K-70 permanent ink marker, ZIG Clean Color FB (carmine red), and Stabilo 68 (blue and green). I really wanted to focus on the pencils, as the others had similar items in other recent boxes. Been a really long time since I used graphite and I’ve never used charcoal. This set is lovely. (Washi tape did not come with the box.)

[ArtSnacks Challenge for January 2017] So, neon is not my style . Took me a few tries to come up with an idea that worked with the colors, but I like my silly little fish.

Supplies: Kuretake Zig Art & Graphic Twin RB+F in Persian Blue ( favorite item), GOLDEN High Flow Acrylic Paints in Florescent Chartreuse and Florescent Orange, Koh-i-noor Magnum Black Star Pencil in HB, and Snap! Series Paintbrush (size 2 round). Paintbrush not pictured because it’s drying. Paper is the Stonehenge mini watercolor paper from November’s box.

April ArtSnacks Challenge! So I’m beyond excited about Persona 5 coming out tomorrow (and rushed through this because of it ). I’ve been trying to get my hands on lavender Copic Multiliners for awhile, so I’m thrilled about that. The Winsor & Newton watercolor marker handled beautifully in my multimedia sketchbook, but, unfortunately, this paper didn’t really allow the water to work its magic. I’ll definitely use it more, but I wish I got more variety from ArtSnacks - I feel like I’m always getting red? Other supplies were the Kuretake Zig water brush and the Pentel GraphGear 800 in 0.5.

Bonus ArtSnacks Challenge? I realized that I still had some of Legion’s coldpress paper from the November box and decided to do a quick comparison. The rest of the supplies are from the March box (washi tape excluded). Loosely based on Aloy from Horizon: Zero Dawn (meaning I didn’t have a reference on hand, heh) , which I plan to start this weekend (so excited!)
