My unending love for Dark Heart of Skyrim finally spawned a new character inspired by it, because that was just bound to happen - meet Áthelas, the spooky giant bird with a marshmallow heart
Apparently I cannot into words lately, so I’ll keep it brief:
- Created during the last moments of a dying harrowstorm, when all the gathered energy had no place to go
- Ended up at the doorstep of Castle Thorn
- Mistaken for a proper Wraith of Crows, was forced to work on vampire “resurrection” experiments with Vaduroth. It didn’t go well
- Eventually escaped and was found by Skye on one of her scouting missions
- Was taken in by the Ravenwatch, because who better to watch over that big clueless baby with potentially eldritch powers?
- Loves goats and making things out of wicker
Less of a lore bit, but in ESO I play them as a Nightblade Healer c:
The highlight of last night was definitely Áthelas getting stuck in an unopenable cell in Fevered Mews.
They’ve done nothing wrong, let them out :(
Aragorn: Can you find me some athelas?
Sam: Some what?
Aragorn: You probably know it a kingsfoil. I was using its fancy name to let you know that I’m really smart.
