Geez, upon opening the package I was expecting him to at least be half the size of Joey, but I didn’t expect to receive a brand new pillow! xD I was extremely surprised to see how huge he is once I pulled him out of the box. I may commission them to make (regular puppet) AP next, since now there’s an option to include a 3D sneak peek (an extra $30 which is pretty damn pricey but I’ll go for it).  I doubt they make puppets but I think I prefer AP as a huggable plush anyway. :3

Joey Felt (Other Concept)

I’ve been looking at some concept art in the official website, which is awesome by the way (atomic-puppet.com). While doing so I’ve spotted this particular design of Joey and it caught my attention, so then I tried out drawing him just for fun. I can only guess that Tai from Digimon was the inspiration for this design. I basically picked the colors out of experimenting since the only official pic available is in greyscale.

Sword Sister - In Training

I would love to see her as Sword Sister again in season two (if the show gets a much deserved second season).

Here I attempted to draw a different scenery instead of the usual city backgrounds I’ve been drawing, and I definitely love how it came out. Besides, it’d be a bad idea for Pauline to train in Mega City due to obvious reasons.

Jimmy Cartoon - A Heated Puppet *With Bonus Intro*

Well I’m back with a new video, and this time with a new show I absolutely adore but sadly known by a few titled, Atomic Puppet.

Jimmy’s now targeting a new show that’s stars his long lost relative, Joey Felt and his super hero puppet, AP.

If you haven’t heard of Jimmy Cartoon, it’s a series where Jimmy (Two-Shoes) messes around with video editing by using the past episodes of Jimmy Two-Shoes (and now other cartoons), and combines them with audio from today’s media.

I’ve had this particular audio stored for about four years already, and now I have finally found its true purpose. xD

JOEY!!!

He came out amazingly adorable, as expected by Budsies. I was going to originally have them make him as Atomic Puppet but I had a bad feeling they were going to screw it up due to the complex design. Plus I wanted to take advantage of their 30% discount that was going on that week, so I submitted a quick reference, which was a turnaround image of Joey that was posted on Tumblr. The only negative part was his pants turned out dark green instead of brown, but that was my fault, since I looked closely afterward on the reference pic that they were actually dark green (must be an earlier design of him before certain additions and changes). That’s alright though since I loved how he came out regardless.

The most I did was draw the logo on his shirt for a clearer reference, and they nailed the design! One thing I absolutely love is they actually sew the details instead of draw them with paint or markers. I also drew his freckles and replaced his teeth with a closed smile on the reference pic.

I’m going to start drawing a turnaround image of AP (as a regular puppet) before their Cyber Monday sale comes up in November (I think).

An Unknown Individual

It seems that I worked too hard on this piece just to reveal a new AP (fan) character I’m working on. Then again I’ve been practicing some perspective drawing on an angle that I’ve hardly done before. Full profile will be out soon.

Atomic Puppet premieres September 11th on Teletoon, and I hope Disney XD US premieres more episodes soon after. :D

AP: It’s Atomic Time!

Why isn’t this show available on iTunes yet?! I’ll be more than willing to buy the season pass if Disney (or Teletoon) wants my money that is, since I love Atomic Puppet.

I had so much fun drawing this. :)
