The refreshment bar didn’t have Avalugg-sized sandwiches, but at least they had a big bucket of water.

While Avalugg are capable swimmers, Bergmite struggle with more than staying afloat. Their legs are just too small!
Rather than trying to swim, Bergmite often just hitch a ride with their evolved form. So even if you just see a Bergmite in the water, there could easily be an Avalugg just beneath the surface.
