Marvel Comics has announced a new trio of one-shots that tie-in to A.X.E. Judgment Day. The one-shots will each focus on central characters to the event - Iron Man, Jean Grey, and Ajak - and set up the finale. Each one-shot will feature a main cover by Nic Klein and a connecting variant cover by Salvador Larroca.

In Marvel’s A.X.E. Judgment Day event the Eternals have targeted mutants and the Avengers find themselves trying to stop a war between the two groups. The one-shots will follow Iron Man, Jean Grey, and Ajak as they try to penetrate the Progenitor Celestial and shut it down.

A.X.E.: Avengers #1, from writer Kieron Gillen and artist Federico Vicentini, goes on sale on September 28, 2022. Iron Man will be stripped of his armor “like never before. He’s spent his life building suits to protect himself, but now, Tony Stark has to enter a suit of armor that could kill us all. Can he survive? Can anyone?” (Marvel Comics)

A.X.E.: X-Men #1, from writer Kieron Gillen and artist Francesco Mobili, goes on sale in October 2022. The comic will explore Jean Grey’s relationship with the Phoenix Force “burning away the mystery behind their connection once and for all. It wasn’t her. It wasn’t her. It wasn’t her. It wasn’t her. It wasn’t her. Yet: “I am fire and life incarnate! Now and forever!” Which part of “Now and Forever” is confusing to you? As one world burns, can Jean Grey justify her existence after burning another?” (Marvel Comics)

A.X.E.: Eternals #1, from writer Kieron Gillen and artist Pasqual Ferry, goes on sale in October 2022. Ajak will have to wrestle with her “past decisions regarding the Celestials and how she plans to lead the Eternals through this latest challenge. Ajak has come a long way. She’s met her maker. Hell, she’s made her maker. Now can she — or anyone — survive her maker?” (Marvel Comics)
