Redesigning Jean Grey is up at ComicsXF!
Hope you folks like it!!
New X-Redesign is up over at ComicsXF!
This time, we went for this largely unknown character, Marvel Girl!
Have you folks ever heard of her? She seems pretty neat!
Wanda & Jean in Exiles #6
Wanda & Jean ice skating in X-Men: First Class #9
Jean had a childhood of being raised by middle class parents who loved her, but found her powers too much to handle. So it makes sense that she deals with precarious social situations, as @wellnoe described it, by maximizing her already-present traits like charm and vivaciousness that people are drawn to, and minimizing her already-present traits like temper that people might fear. (Minimizing up to a point, at least.)
Whereas Scott’s defining childhood memories are being tortured physically and mentally by a Victorian eugenicist for no discernible reason! So he reacts to precarious social situations by attempting to suppress his entire personality and totally dissociating.
X Deaths Of Wolverine #t
Ah yes, my favorite superheroes Marvel Witch (most powerful of surface heroes) and Scarlet Girl
I’ve said this before but the original X-Men First Class comics are kinda boring and feel pointless but I still regularly think about the Jean/Wanda issue because it’s just like Jean being utterly devoted to Wanda and going absolutely feral to protect her
Like they’re on a little ice skating date and when Jean is in the bathroom, Natasha shows up and low key kidnaps Wanda to try to recruit her to SHIELD and it’s made pretty clear that Wanda is fine and doesn’t even seem to feel worried about her situation, but the SECOND Jean realizes she’s gone she’s calls Xavier and is like “Wanda has been gone for three minutes. Scan the entire continent for mutant activity. Send me the team and your private jet.” And he does and so when Jean finds them because they are like at most ten minutes away, she skydives into a crowded area (on Warren’s back because she made him do it) and is like ready to fight the Black Widow for Wanda Maximoff without even waiting for an explanation
But then Jean, Wanda, and Natasha get kidnapped by Hydra and the Hydra goons are doing the “if you defeat one of us, two more will rise to take they’re place” and so Jean just starts immediately beating guys and is like “IM READY FOR THE TWO MORE” because she’s just like unquestioningly ready to beat people for Wanda
And this issue takes place after there had been multiple mini comics of Jean taking Wanda on little dates after Wanda left the Brotherhood, so that Wanda can have friends and learn how to be a normal teen and have clothes and whatnot. They also go out together and fight crime on their own so that Wanda can be a hero and not a bad guy, and it’s just incredibly cute and I love this dynamic and these mostly mediocre comics are like one of the only places it exists

The Illuminate MoM theory: Let me explain
(Feel free to drag me up in the comments if I get any of these details wrong)
Essentially this theory states that the Illuminati will play a huge part in Multiverse of Madness.
The idea is that they have started an organization (kinda like T.V.A) where they imprison “threats to the multiverse”. This organization is led by Professor X (Stewart version) who arrests Doctor Strange for being a threat to the multiverse.
Within this prison of sorts we see other characters from different universes behind shielded prison cells. These characters would most likely include: Magneto (Fassbender version), An Iron Man variant, Ghost Rider, Jean Grey (Turner Version/Phoenix), Red Skull, and Sylvie.
All of these characters would have tampered with the multiverse at some point. (Believable from each character chosen for this theory)
Anyway, I doubt this will happen but it is a fun theory to think about.
