Sept. 9th 2020. It seemed that all of California was seeing orange or blood red skies due to the many fires happening at the same time. I figured it would be a good time to do a little photowalk around Levi’s Stadium to capture such a rare occurrence. No matter where I snapped a photo, I was always getting this orange tint. You can see the difference in colors with the LED signage of the stadium.

The smoke is still thick, and i’m hoping we can get rain really soon to wash the fires away…

Very old piece I did for a group show in San Jose. Created using the Impossible Project Instant Lab, using Black and Red Duochrome films, and using a photo of my friend Margaux. I think the negative space really moves your eyes so I didn’t try to finish the picture with more Polaroid frames. I really miss this film and I hope Polaroid brings it back.

First set of Polaroid portraits I snapped of fellow PolaPals at PolaCon Bay Area 2020 a couple weeks ago. Really love how most of these turned out. The film batch I shot this on was 10/19 Polaroid Originals 600 film with my SLR680. The colors remind me of Impossible Project Batch 2.0 from a few years back. I really hope the film stays this consistent with the current Polaroid rebranding.

Polaroids from the PolaCon Night Walk with Glass Key Photo, EBPCO, and SF Instant Photowalk last week. We walked through Chinatown and made our way to Golden Boy Pizza. Pretty crazy to see Chinatown so empty. All of these were shot with the MiNT SLR670s and 600 film.

Polaroids from the first SF Instant Photo Walk of the year with Glass Key Photo, San Francisco. We walked over to the Clay Theatre to snap photos since it had it’s last showing the night before and walked over to Japantown. I had a really great time shooting. I was feeling very inspired to snap random photos, and we got really lucky with all the sunshine. For anyone that’s in the Bay Area, Glass Key Photo has an Instant Photo walk at the last Sunday of every month 12pm-3pm.

All instant photography is welcome, from Instax to peel apart, to Spectra to 600/SX-70.

PolaCon is coming to the Bay Area this March! All the way from Denton, Texas! I really think this is a very big deal since the Bay Area is the heart of all things tech and it’s nice to have an event that embraces analog technology, specifically instant film photography. I’m pretty damn excited for this. This event is FREE with instant photowalks and talks/instant film discussion.

Continuing my Silicon Valley project with Polaroids from Facebook’s Classic Campus. Always wanted to shoot around at night because of the neon signage, but I really should’ve shot the Arcade entrance a different way and I really should’ve shot the Ice Cream shop during the day. Maybe next time when I have more time. The signage saying “The Hacker” actually says “The Hacker Company” but it was too dark for my camera to pick up.

Some recent Polaroid work I did of hip hop musician Stay Amplified for San Jose’s Content Magazine’s most recent issue, which is currently on news stands right now. I really like how these came out, but I was limited on time and film to shoot anymore…

Hung out at Company Records studio last week with Chaz, Michael, Jacob, Freddy of Family Affair Gallery, Alex and Anthony. Chaz let me snap a few Polaroids with my Fish Eye, and took one of him and Michael for the studio. We also went to go see Weezer on a Wednesday night. So rad! I had a lot of fun. Thank you for everything, Chaz, and thank you for having me!

See you soon, buddy!
