I tried to experiment a bit with the colors and the style I used for my profile picture. So I used my favourite sketch of Merlin (BBC) to make this digital drawing.

- Being immortal would eventually take a serious toll on your body, so Merlin would occasionally need a lot of sleep. Sometimes he accidentally sleeps for 4 or 5 days without realising. And one particularly cold and miserable winter he just goes into hibernation
- Merlin’s lived through lots of iterations of the English language, and sometimes forgets which words are in or out of usage. some words he thinks we should still be using anyway (I mean really who decided you can be underwhelmed and overwhelmed but not just whelmed anymore!) Sometimes he just cannot think of the modern day word for something, or the old English word slips out. He’d also definitely be multilingual after centuries of travelling.
- He mostly hides all of this around normal people, but when he’s with Mr Immortal Leon he lets his dialect and language run wild - Leon understands him anyway
- I don’t think he’d have a great short term memory - your brain would be so full after years and years and years of life. I think he’d forget things like getting milk, or forgetting to lock the door quite a lot. He uses sticky notes and memory aides to help him with things like that.
-He doesn’t drink caffeine because it makes him see shrimp colours. Any kind of stimulant is too much for him really, but he does drink a lot of mint tea and hot chocolate.

-he also has strong opinions on modern fashion because ‘why aren’t cloaks a thing anymore, they’re so comfortable!?’ and keeps his favourite pieces of clothing from every century he had to live through (and wears them sometimes at random places to mess with people-)
-tries to live green and goes to protests against deforestation and climate change
-has picked up a lot of hobbies through the years and is the last living human to know how to do some of them
thinking about gwen trying to throw merlin a surprise party by writing everyone he corresponds with, like, “merlin’s been having a tough time lately, so i decided to call in some reinforcements” and it goes great until alator shows up with a whole ass army

Summary:
While Merlin and Gwaine attempt to win a bet against Arthur by trying monogamy for a week, Elyan looks to someone new to take the edge off. Elyan finds Lancelot’s unending nobility rather off-putting, but he’s pretty sure he can corrupt him.
The fact that Lancelot is secretly a chaotic dumpster-fire of a human being with a penchant for well-intentioned treason is a source of dramatic irony that’s fun for all–erm, most–ages.
Featuring casual sex, some fun-poking at monogamy, and two storage closets used for two (different) illicit purposes.

merlin (the show) kills me so much because. there is such a disparity in how it’s written. the actual plots, the decisions, circumstance. they’re so goddamn wonky. like none of it really makes sense under scrutiny.
but the dialogue and the character interactions and relationships. That shit. it slaps. idk what the writers were on. “i cannot stand by and watch this happen!” “then look away”. The Drama, the Banter, everything abt it is perfect. how is it so good and so bad all at the same time.
HEY Everyone!! SOO with getting back into the Merlin fandom, i was thinking of maybe doing a major Merlin rewatch!! This would include an episode a week, and having a group watch at a specific time (through Rabb.it or another shared streaming site), episode contests with prizes, graphics themed for the episode of the week, merchandise giveaways, memes, and much more!!
I was going to do it through tumblr, AND the Merlin site HERE called Welcome To Camelot [its not just for RP but also, for any fans who want to join a safe community to talk about the show] !!
