Rough keys for shot 1! You can probably see where this gag is going. Coy little Popeye.

First frame! Trying to do this in Blender with Grease Pencil . What a learning curve! But if I can get a workflow going, I’m kinda’ liking this! I’ll post my progress on these shots.

Whew! Took a few tries, but I think I have a rough pass that’s working for my third shot.

Layout and first roughs for my final shot. Hopefully I have Blender figured out enough to pull this off. Wish me luck.

Some color and finishing details (like Popeye ’s tats my wife pointed out). I think these shots are good to go! Time to trigger the trap!

Smoothing those lumps out with some tweens. Bluto still just wants one.
