I’ve been taking a break lately from crocheting due to a compressed nerve in my arm….brought on due to the amount of crocheting I had been doing >_<. 

So in trying to NOT crochet I’ve been figuring out other ways to fill my creative needs, that don’t put stress on my current injury. Ended up taking a class at my local museum on traditional moccasin making and had loads of fun. 

We learned how to create a pattern for different foot sizes, two needle bead and work with leather & fur. In the end I made a pair of moccasins for my partner, who loves the Stormlight archives. So the bead pattern on the moccasin is the Skybreaker symbol. It was fun to see everyones traditional flower patterns, and then my weirder looking symbol :P 

There’s a very good chance that this Christmas everyone in my family is going to get moccasins. They were just so fun to make.
