Holy shit, I usually go by “as long as there is no actual sign of change in behaviour or an unprompted apology it is safe to assume the person didn’t change since those bigoted posts” but it still gets me when it turns out to be the case
This exactly, the reason those people can keep their high reputation along with their views is because the community is full of enablers who let this happen
