When the pandemic began, I was in the process of sprucing up my home. I had yet to choose and purchase blinds for the bedroom and lounge. On the Tuesday before the first lockdown, my Mum and I had popped into Dunelm to have a look at blind colours - we didn’t realise that would be the last opportunity to purchase in more than half a year. So throughout the first 7 months of the pandemic, I had to be creative. The lounge needed it’s own dose of creativity, but the bedroom? Well, let’s just say I was grateful for all those unused large canvases I had in the art studio. They became my blinds. Eventually ended up putting a blanket over them too to make them opaque and I used magazines to block out the top.
Wasn’t great, but it was something eh? Not bad at all.
