To help better serve our customers, we are building an online shop which will he hosted by Square. This will not only feature our seasonal, raw local honey, all natural lip balms and beeswax candles which will be available year round, but we will soon be making new items available such as: Shea butter lotion bars and other beeswax based skin care products. Terry Parris Jr. created Bee Detroit, a video about beekeeping in the city of Detroit. Proof that you don’t have to live in a rural area to harvest bees.
More than 100 agricultural crops are pollinated by bees, imagine having to do all of this by hand! Honey can help those with allergies since the bees collect pollen from plants around where you live, the small amounts present in the honey you eat (provided you’re eating local honey) can help immunize the body meaning minimal reactions during the allergy season.
Don’t forget the many uses in skin and hair care that honey provides.
