So A BIT AGO there was a DEVELOPMENT in the Step Right Up AU that@bertrumstrousers started, with the idea that Nathan Arch was original ringmaster and co-owner with Bertrum of their eccentric circus. For Bertrum, the others are his fellow performers and family, but Nathan was just a smidge more exploitive and cruel towards the attractions… and when Bertrum caught Nathan getting physically violent with Sammy about the pianist’s less than respectful attitude, that was the last straw and Bertrum uHHHHHH THREW NATHAN OFF THE TRAIN
Maybe it wasn’t quite what he’d intended, maybe he got carried away, maybe he didn’t realise the door was open in the dark, but what’s done is done. Sammy was shaken by Bertrum’s actions but way more frightened of losing the circus than he was of Nathan’s threats, so Bertrum pledged to keep the circus running and make sure none of them were ever mistreated like that again. Sammy believed in that promise for a long time.
anyway bertrums nearly 8 feet tall in this AU so I WANTED TO DRAW SIZE DIFFERENCE AND GOT, CARRIED AWAY,,, HAVE A PRELUDE TO WELL-INTENTIONED MURDER
