bialogue-group:

Almost every LGBT person, no matter how out and well-adjusted we may be, has turned to an LGBT nonprofit at some point in our lives …  None of these organizations … can survive on good will and worthy missions alone. They need support to open their doors; to litigate and advocate and organize; to keep dedicated staff — even to keep the lights on. And for that, they need us — all of us.

1 in 20: We Can Do Better:The Horizons Foundation’s research shows that not even 5 percent of LGBT people give direct financial support to LGBT organizations. That’s just one in 20.

Ifevery one of the 8 million+ LGBT people in the United States woke uponGive Out Dayand gave $10 — just $10 — that would mean $80 million to take care of our elders, to fuel the fight for full equality, to make sure that queer youth can navigate this still-tough world, to support all those with medical and mental health issues, substance use, violence, poverty, discrimination, and dozens of other challenges.

Give Out Day is a chance for all of us to be part of something much bigger than any of us.

We hope All Bisexual/Non-monosexual, SGL + Queer identified people will consider donating to helpfundyour own Bisexual+ Community. It doesn’t matter how much you give, or what you give, only that you give:

¡Feliz #MesDeSaludBi!

#SomosBisexuales y Somos Familia. #BiHealthMonth

Happy #BiHealthMonth! #Bisexual+ people experience greater #HealthDisparities than gay and straight people. Much of the discrimination facing our Bi+ Latinx community begins with myths, stereotypes and harmful messages within our families. Let’s change these narratives by sharing positive messages and educating members of our family about bi people +.

We are #Bisexuals and We Are Family. #BiHealthMonth

We probably don’t donate because we’re relying on these charities because we’re disenfranchised and broke as shit due to being LGBT

Seriously though, even US $5 would bring joy to the totallyoverlookedandunderfunded heavilyPoC + Trans/Gender expansive US Bisexual groups

Did you know bi+ people make up over half of the LGBTQ+ community but receive less than 1% of donor funding? (source: LGBT Funders 2018).

This Pride month, let’s challenge this inequity in our community! Here are 4 bi+ organizations you can support:

Bi Women Quarterly: A grassroots publication written by bi+ women and produced by the Boston Bisexual Women Network, available internationally for free.

Bisexual Resource Center: An educational organization that connects the bi+ community in person and online through resources, support, and celebration.

Still Bisexual: A national bi+ advocacy group that uses storytelling, education and mental health advocacy to help foster public acceptance, awareness and understanding.

LA Bi+ Task Force: A grassroots organization that promotes education, advocacy, and cultural enrichment for bi+ communities.

Small nonprofits like us rely almost entirely on donations to run. Every dollar and share help.

Please consider donating to our Give OUT Day campaigns or becoming a monthly sustainer to make a difference for bi+ communities.
