Winter2122 Offer #7
See auction rules here.

@cherepashkadrabbles|Cherepashka on AO3

Offer:A fic of 2000-3000 words.

Fandoms: As of late I’ve been writing mostly for Tolkien (Silmarillion/Hobbit/LotR), and would pretty comfortable writing for Discworld, Jeeves and Wooster, Critical Role, Harry Potter, Good Omens, and Avatar the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra. If your favorite fandom is not listed here, I’m open to other fandoms if you can give me a rundown of the fandom and a specific prompt or two; that might just involve a bit of a longer turnaround while I get up to speed. I can also feature your OCs, again provided you talk me through your designs/backstories/headcanons for them.

Genres: Nothing explicit/NSFW, no RPF, no noncon/dubcon. Aside from that, the options are pretty open. Here’s an example of humor, here’s an example of angst-verging-on-horror, and here’s an example of silly fluffy romance. AUs and canon-divergence welcome. If nerdy cross-references, banter, nuanced moral dilemmas, or gratuitous invocation of musical theater tropes are your jam, you’ve come to the right place. Heck, we might even fit all of the above into a single fic!

Starting bid: $10

We’re at $195 total so far, up your bid to push us over $200!

Thanks to everyone who’s submitted so far!

If you’re thinking about submitting an offer/item, please do! It is definitely not too late.

Winter2122 Offer #6: Hand-knitted pride flag sweater

Offer by: @quillsand/@thelawsofdaylight

Auction rules can be found here!

I’m offering one custom-made hand-knitted sweater in any pride flag of your choosing! (Alternatively, I can also do single-colour sweaters or striped sweaters.)

The sweater will be of a similar oversized fit to the one below, with small customisations available (balloon sleeves/straight sleeves, long/medium/cropped length, wide/small/off shoulder neckline, etc.) I can knit it in either cotton, wool, or acrylic yarn and can make up to a size 5XL; for reference, the sweater pictured is a size S made using cotton yarn. I’m anticipating it will take me between 1 and 3 months to complete, depending on the size, so please keep that in mind!

If you’d like to see more examples of my knitting I can be found on instagram @klee.earth!

Starting bid: $50!

Winter 2122 Item #2: Single Case-bound Journal +/- Fic Binding

For more examples of journals I have made, you can look at this tag on my blog.  (There are a few reblogs of other people’s work in that tag, but all posts made by @eirenicalor@irenicalarts are my work.)

This offer is for a 9″ long x 6″ wide unlined journal/sketchbook, made with high quality (64 lb. / 104 g/sq.m.), unlined, drawing paper (120 sheets) and light-weight book board for the covers.  It will be case bound in a quarter cloth style using a combination of fine paper, homemade book cloth, and/or store bought book cloth.

Starting bid: $10

If the bidding reaches $40 or more, you will have the option to make this a binding of a story you have written rather than an unlined journal.

(I will consider binding a story that was not written by you, as long as permission can be obtained from the author of the story.  However, I will not bind works that already have professionally printed versions.)

(Above: Cover of bound copy of Muet by eirenical)

(Above: Inner pages of bound copy of Beneath the Sun by frith_in_thorns.)

Further pictures of what a bound story would look like can be found hereandhere.  (Inner pages will look more like those in the first link than the second; cover will have a flat spine as in the second link.)

For more information, feel free to contact me @eirenical, and I’ll be happy to discuss options with you!  ^_^

WINTER 2122 Offer #3

@badassindistress(badassindustries on AO3)

Offer: a fic of about 2k words

I’m offering a short Regency AU fic for any fandom you can explain to me. Want to see your favourite ship fall in love in the ballroom or your OC’s flirt with a parlour game? Now’s your chance!

Fandoms I’ve written for are Les Mis, Penumbra, Untamed and Adventure Zone, but anything you can give a primer for that can fit in an Austenesque setting is fair game…

It won’t get any steamier than the touch of an ungloved hand and secret kisses in the moonlight. We’re doing fluff and pining and happiness in embroidered waistcoats and silk gowns! (Fictional characters only, RPF flusters me)

For reference to my style, see my series of Canon Era Shenanigansand Absolutely No Homophobia Regency Romance

Starting bid:5 dollars

Winter 2021-22 Auction for Immigration Bail Funds

Rules

This year’s auction will focus raising money for immigration bond funds, which post money to get people out of immigration detention, where they are often held in terrible conditions. A general list of immigration bond funds in the US can be found here and another from RAICES can be found here, although any immigration bond fund is acceptable and you are welcome to donate to one in your own country if such programs exist there.

1. Offering

SUBMIT your offering post to this blog! Include a link to this rules post in your own post, and also a minimum starting offer for your item, which can be a fic, art, or a physical item. It does NOT have to be connected to the Les Misérables fandom, although such items are always welcome! Any terms and conditions of your offer should also be included in the post, eg what fandoms you are wiling to write for, any hard no’s on content, etc.

I will number each submission for reference and add #Winter2122.

Offering is open as of NOW, December 18, 2021.

2. Bidding

Bidding will OPEN as of NOW, December 18, 2021. Bid only on posts for the current auction, which will be numbered and contain the note #Winter202122.

Bidding will CLOSE on January 18th, 2022 on the midnight between January 18th and 19th, Eastern Time.

Bid in REPLIES NOT REBLOGS (this is important because replies enable me to track out who bid when). The highest bidder at that time will be the winner. Bidding can start as each item is posted.

3. Claiming or delivering your item

If you have won an item, I will contact you directly after January 18th and ask you to provide a receipt or other verification for a donation to an immigration bond fund in the amount bid. Send such verification to [email protected] or in a screenshot on Tumblr. AFTER I have verified that, I will contact the offerer to let them know they can deliver the item. All items should be delivered by May 18th, 2022 unless you have made other arrangements, eg the item/fic will take longer than that to create or write and that is specified in the post.

Thanks all for your participation and let’s get started!

The auction will be starting a little late this year because I am on deadline. However, start getting your items/offers together because in about two weeks we will start accepting posts with offers, and soon after start bidding!

Though I did not expect we would raise much this year due to everyone having expended their resources on the summer emergency fundraiser, we actually raised ~$420 thanks to your generous donations!

I would like to particularly thank @shitpostingfromthebarricade who raised $129 in a private fundraiser for the same bail groups and kindly allowed me to count this in our total.

And I’d like to thank ALL OF YOU, whether you donated money, effort, fanwork, or anything else! You are responsible, by participating, for turning this from a random idea I had to a yearly tradition that raises money for criminal justice-related causes.

SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
