#black artists
Hello, friends! Long time no see. Firstly, I wanted to offer a deep thank you to the sweet people who have been reblogging my art. Creating art that is representative of women of color is a mission close to my heart, and it gives me massive joy to see that others can find themselves in the art I make. You have all been so sweet and kind.
I am writing this announcement because I am entering a massive transition in my life: in just a few days, I will be starting graduate school. This is an answer to many prayers, and I am still dumbfounded that I was able to enter my program of interest.
That being said, grad school is not known for ample amounts of free time. While the pandemic has made forecasting life a little difficult (most of my classes are exclusively online, and I only know the times and days for oneof them), I am fairly certain I will have limited time to dedicate toward personal art. (Not that I was uber consistent anyway, lol.)
This isn’t a hiatus, per se - more so just a notice that things may be quiet on my end. Or not - we will see!
Thanks again for the support you’ve shown me so far! If you’re at all interested in purchasing any of my art as a shirt or card, please consider taking my list of ‘stores’ a look.
Stay safe and God bless, friends!
