My new series has an apocalyptic feel to it, as though the world that these characters once inhabited has mutated into something that craves their return to the earth more urgently than before. A world that’s not necessarily hostile, but hungry. . This feeling of unsettling change is something I’ve been thinking about a lot, even before this pandemic, and it’s what has informed the idea for my series “The End of all Things”. Death isn’t always juxtaposed with life, in the same way that grief isn’t always the opposite to joy. There is an intertwining present in everything.
