Throughout Wynonna Earp, the show doesn’t really reveal a lot about Nicole when she was younger. Many people write her as a straight-A student, but there is far too much evidence to the contrary for this to be plausible. Instead of fitting into the ‘top-student’ trope, she falls into the classic ‘dumbass’ mindset. Nicole Haught has canonically asked how fast trees grow, threw a very dangerous ring into the woods randomly, cannot comprehend the concept of ‘Yahtzee’, and admitted that she failed college. Not dropped out - failed, an unmistakable tribute to her innate dumbassery.
