My top 10 Music Countdown : #9 - Red Hot Chili Peppers! I can’t imagine California without Red Hot Chili Peppers as an integral part of our state’s soundtrack. Their distinctive sound transports me to my childhood in a way that few other bands do with such nostalgia. One memory I love is when my cousins and I would watch the music video for “Californication” every time we visited each other, and we really wished the animated parts were a real video game so we could play as the Chili Peppers! Flea and John Frusciante are two of my favorite musicians of all time, so that alone makes the Chili Peppers number 9 on my countdown. Also, this band is fantastic in concert - I’ve been lucky enough to see them twice! My favorite songs: Californication, Parallel Universe, Scar Tissue, Easily, By the Way.
