Finished Bauernwehr or ‘farmers knife’. These kind of knifes were used by low and middle class People from 14th to 16th century. It is a general purpose knife for working, hunting and for fighting. In this one the guard and nagel gives extra protection for the hand. Forged from high carbon steel, with mild steel guard, walnut tree handle with brass rivets.
