.Bourjois Summer Launch Event | VLOG.

The other week i was very lucky to be invite to the Bourjois Summer Launch party on the rooftops of Global Radio in Leicester Square! So i took Beth along with me for an evening full of beauty treatments, delicious food, yummy cocktails and of course all the new Bourjois beauty goodies for Summer 2014!

Here’s a little bit of what we got up to during the evening - there was a Capital FM DJ on all night spinning some awesome tunes so sadly i couldn’t chat to you on camera, but i hope you enjoy taking a sneak peak inside this adorable little event!

.Bourjois Summer Launch Event. 

The other week I was invited to the Bourjois Summer Launch event in Leicester Square and not being one to turn down a party I roped my lovely friend Beth along as my +1 and we hopped on a train to London Town to take a look at all the wonderful new products Bourjois were releasing for the sunny months. 

The event was held on the rooftops of the Global Radio offices and the views were absolutely stunning! After having our photos taken (follow me on Instagram @xameliax for more piccies) we headed straight to the bar for a Kir Royal before diving into all the brand new beauty bits. On show were the new Rouge Allure Velvet Matte Lip Paints(reviewed here) including two beautiful shades I’d yet to see Nude-ist and Grand Cru both of which were in our goodie bags - incredibly exciting! There was also a range of Kohl pencils in a plethora of beautiful colours and new gel nail polish shades - more on those to come in a future post! The stand that made my heart go all a flutter however was full of glorious gold shaded bronzers, lip glosses and liquid liners all perfect for the summer months! 

We were lucky enough to get all of these bits in our goodie bags but I couldn’t wait to get home and try them out so I sat down at a beauty station and let the lovely makeup artists loose on my face! My favourite has to be the matte highlight and contour chocolate set which when used properly (thank you for the quick Kim K contouring lesson ladies!) gives incredible angles to the face without looking too overwhelming. And the gold lipgloss adds a super subtle shimmer to the lips without feeling sticky or looking too 90’s school disco! Beth also got the same face treatment and we were both chuffed to bits with our makeovers! 

Although distracted by the beauty products temporarily we still got stuck into the mini food whizzing passed our ears at every turn. Adorable burgers and the most delicious tuna with mintand infused oils to be squeezed into the meat before chowing down. We also (for professional research purposes only) made sure to sample every cocktail and glass of pimms on the free bar menu too, and I am happy to report that they were also quite delicious.

Next we headed over to the Read My Lips station where one of the Psychic Sisters read our fortunes from a lippy stain left on a piece of card! Sheila came up with some very interesting predictions including seeing me holding a dog….or a very hairy baby, she wasn’t quite sure(!). It was great fun and we all had a jolly good giggle! 

After tucking into the chocolate fountain for pudding (which was half milk chocolate and half white chocolate by the way, mind=blown), Beth sat down to get her nails painted while I finished off my mojito to the awesome tunes being pumped out by one of Capital FM’s resident DJ’s. At 9pm it was time to head home with our goodie bags jam packed full of new season beauty bits and after a quick coffee stop we hopped back on the train home.
