Carita Grace like her little sister Shelby, was adopted by Jason and Piper Grace. Also like her she was very close to one of the Jackson sisters, her and Celia were inseparable. Then Carita got a place at a prodigious boarding school which meant that she would only be able to see her best friend in the summer. This was unfortunate timing as their friendship had just turned into a relationship, they decided to just stick to being friends.

Jump to the summer before they go off to college, Celia and her thought they would try again because there was no denying there feelings they had for each other. Carita thought she would be happy and have a final relaxing time at camp.
