Friendly reminder that some talented people had the great idea to create a Carry On zine and were kind enough to invite me! Thank you for the sweet words and for letting me contribute something to this amazing collab, I’m very very excited about it! ❤ there’s still time left to join so if you’re interested in becoming a contributor do it now! :)
Please link a portfolio which includes at least three finished pieces.
These pieces do not need to include any Carry On||Wayward Son characters—but of course, we would love to see your interpretation of them, even if that only means including sketches!
Your work will be judged on fundamentals, such as composition, balance, and finishing.
Chosen artists can contribute oneortwofully-realized illustrations in either grayscale or color—you could even make a 1-2 page comic!
Please submit at least twoexamples of your work, with wordcounts between 1000-5000.
If your pieces are over the limit, that is fine and it will not affect your chances, but please note that the whole piece will not be read.
These pieces do not need to include any Carry On||Wayward Son characters—but including blurbs or dialogue exchanges to get an idea of your characterization of them would be lovely!
Your work will be judged on flow, grammar and spelling, characterization, and clarity.
Chosen writers can contribute a 1000-3000 word fic (with some flexibility). The mods will be your betas.
Notes for all applicants
At least one application piece must be positive in nature, and nonemay contain character death or sexual assault/rape depictions.
Your interpretation of the theme of Golden Days will not count against your chances—but creativity is appreciated!
The zine itself is SFW, but if your portfolio contains NSFW pieces, that is fine.
The work period of this zine will fall over the winter holidays season, so please plan your time accordingly.
