Here’s a spooky piece of pre-production art for you Halloweeners. It’s rough art by designer Audrey eunhi Oh for “Blackford Manor.” (Well, just about everything about “Blackford Manor” will be spooky; you’ll see it on Cartoon Hangover in 2014.)

Jiwook’s working on the effects for her “Blackford Manor” short, another in the Too Cool! Cartoons anthology we’re producing for Cartoon Hangover.

Here’s the resident cook of Blackford Manor — named, uh, Mrs Cook — in color (or about as much color as she’s going to get). Jiwook Kim’s sinister short steals onto Cartoon Hangover this summer.

Recording yesterday went off without a hitch, thanks for asking. Of course, having Martin Rayner,Ashly Burch, and Billy West for a cast makes things kind of easy (and lots of fun).

We’re back in the recording studio this afternoon, laying down the dialog for Jiwook Kim’s “Blackford Manor.” Not a whole lot of talking in this one, so we could be in and out in record time.

Better to catch the mood, we’re going to record the cast in the dark. And covered in cobwebs.

366 auditions are in for just three roles. About 354 of them are pretty terrific, too. Jiwook sure has her work cut out in choosing the cartoon’s cast.
