The habit of consuming animal products is deeply ingrained in each of us; we have grown up in a society that views nonhuman animals as little more than “resources” or “things” for our benefit.
They have taught us to differentiate between a child, a dog and a pig, to play with the first two and eat the third, without realizing that they are all individuals who want to enjoy their lives equally and deserve the same respect.
