Artemis (Moon Goddess) & Nyx (Primordial Goddess of the Night)

I’ve had this idea stuck in my head ever since I recently rewatched Fantasia with the kiddos. In Beethoven’s Pastorale Symphony, when Nyx swaths the sky in darkness and Artemis fires her arrow into the night, setting the stars ablaze, I thought, “That would be a rad ship.”

Prints of this artwork are currently in production to raise money for Outright Action International as they work to protect LGBTQI+ individuals at home and abroad, including Ukraine. More details on how to purchase a charity print are coming soon!

This illustration is now on sale in my Etsy shop as an 8x10 matte art print to raise money for OutRight Action International’s Ukraine Emergency Fund, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the charity.

I’d like to write a lot of things here, and I have thought for a long time about what I want to say, but honestly? No words would express how I feel…

I prepared this print to help our Brothers somehow. The falcon, viburnum and mallow are some of the national symbols of Ukraine.
