Day 6- Costume. We didn’t celebrate Halloween growing up in China. So so had very few chances to wear costumes. Although I ways very active in school performances. Day 4- Holidays. During Chinese New Year, older family members would give out red packets full of money to children. I used to think I can buy the whole world world that money! Haha! My mom helped me put them in a savings account. I have no idea where the money is now! We would put on new cloths, eat huge family dinners and enjoy firecrackers to celebrate a new year coming. #childhoodweek #childhoodweek2017

Day 3- Battle. I grew up in China. ‘Jianzi’ was popular among children’s for generations. It’s basically some heavy metal at the bottom and feathers at the top. You can kick it and do tricks. It was a very competitive sport among us 3rd, 4th graders! Everyone was playing it between class and after school to compete who can kick it for the longest. Bloody battles they were! #childhoodweek #chilldhoodweek2017

Magic for Day 1 of #childhoodweek. I always loved summer thunderstorms back in Ohio. It felt powerful and ancient and wild, like the forces wielded by The Gifted Ones.

Happy new year everyone ! May the force be with you to start new projects or continue some ! Late but continuing the #childhoodweek challenge. My 3 sisters and I, we loved to disguise and make up ourselves. Then, of course, we would organize a little fashion show to my parents… But I am not sure they really enjoyed it :)
