if it has “emerald” in the name i can’t stay away .

this “lovers valley” close to tangkou town runs along the terraced mountainside of huangshan and features glittering turquoise and jade green pools in all shapes and sizes. we could sell these pools as “magic fairy pools” to bebe, who was really not in the mood for another hike in the beginning, but marched like a trooper in the end (big love for my big girl!).

unfortunately it started to rain cats and dogs in the middle of our hike, so we were forced to turn back and miss some beautiful waterfalls. but we made the best of it and came back to the car soaking wet, but with a heart full of new family adventures and memories of enchanted pools, waterfalls and dripping fairy forests ‍♂️✨.
