BREAKING: Singer Christina Grimmie Has Died After Being Shot

I am horrified at this news. I don’t know even know what to say. I feel sick.

For those who don’t know. Christina Grimmie was a Youtube star and musician who was shot by a male assailant earlier tonight after she performed live at an Orlando, FL venue. She was attacked following the show as she signed autographs for fans. Her brother tackled the shooter before the assailant killed himself. She was known for having participated on NBC’s The Voice. 

My thoughts are with her family and friends and everyone involved. The Youtube Community has lost an impossibly bright star today.

She was one of the first people who introduced me to youtube as I know she did the same for many others. I’m aware this has nothing to do with Luke, but it would really mean so much if you could all take a few minutes to listen to the tribute song that Chase Goehring has made for her. I’m absolutely gutted that one of my all time favorite singers was murdered last night. In fact, if I hadn’t of been traveling, I would have been at her show. Maybe even one of the people there when she was killed. It’s horrible and absolutely nothing justifies it. With that being said, I still thank God that at least for a time, she got to pursue her passion and live her dream. That’s the only silver lining to this tragedy. She got to live her dream and she left us with powerful music to remember her by.
