#cinclodes
April 15, 2022 - Dark-bellied Cinclodes (Cinclodes patagonicus)
These cinclodes are found along the coast, on lakeshores, and in other areas near water in southern Chile and far western Argentina. They feed on invertebrates, foraging on the ground among rocks and debris and near the edge of water. Their grass nests are built in rock crevices, tree cavities, animal burrows, or holes in buildings and other structures. Females lay clutches of two to four eggs.
