Today it’s “Siivouspäivä” (”Cleaning day”)! The concept of Siivouspäivä started from Helsinki, but nowadays it’s held in many other Finnish towns as well. During this time the whole town transforms into a huge flea market as people sell their things they don’t need anymore. The aim of this day is to promote recycling and sustainability and to create a lively and responsible city culture.
