Did u know: I’ve been making boots

Elbow deep stitching this damn second boot up

And we have two uppers stitched! Time to get lasting!

Today I prepared the insoles for welting

Lasting and welting…my leather is thicker than generally used for shoes so it’s been a Challenge

Today I have added the shank and cork infill and pegged the heel rand

Outsole has been glued, hammered, trimmed and now I’m doing the outsole stitching.

Outsole stitching finished, edges dyed and burnished, then I glued on the rough heel. Heel was cut to shape, then sanded, dyed, burnished and finally nailed

Happy to report I got the last out easily and they actually fit really well :)))))

Done!! And that’s how you make a pair of boots :)
