#combiner wars
Been returning on a roll!
The group continued moving across the vast desert. Daybreak took a few photos of the tablet before nodding. “I already have a lead!” Daybreak smiled. “I’ll tell the others, just point where I need to go.” Airstrike replied. (The Seeker got up and pointed towards the distance. A row of mountains divided the split battlefield) “Past the mountains!” Daybreak answered. “It’ll take forever for the others to go by.” Airstrike sighed. (Daybreak nodded) “I’ll alert them to this news; I’m sure we can all fit in you.” Daybreak said. (He opened up Airstrike’s door and waved down at the others, beginning a com)
“What’s up Daybreak?” Skillet asked. “We’ve got to get over these mountains! Airstrike will land somewhere that you can get in!” Daybreak replied. (The main tank stopped, transforming as Diode and Slenderwave followed their leader’s movements) “Skillet, what’s going on?” Diode asked. “Airstrike needs to transport us across that terrain.” Skillet said. (They watched as the red helicopter like vehicle landed onto the ground. Daybreak stepped out, smiling at his team)
“Already know where we’re going, so you should get in. I’ll swoop across for the rest of the way.” Daybreak explained. (He got out the tablet, giving it to his leader. Skillet nodded, subspacing it) “Thank you Daybreak, be careful out there, for we have yet to explore past those mountains.” Skillet warned. (The Seeker nodded, transforming as the other three grounders stepped into Airstrike. Red armor lifted up as a blue jet followed. It would be an easy way to pass through the steel mountaintops.
Within the mountains, tablets lied on a cold steel floor. Hun-Gree looked upon them; then at his weary team) “So you went to all these locations and found nothing?” Hun-Gree yelled. “Listen Hun-Gree, we did all we could, but none lead to the Enigma!” Shadow Spawn huffed. “Nyxy, Wildfire, are you sure you’re translating them right?” Stomp Squatch asked. “Yes, remember, we have our limitations to what we can do.” Wildfire snarled. “We still have luck, no one can find them then. Everyone’s sure what the true map is.” Nyx added. “Fine, then we must keep searching.” Hun-Gree growled. “We have yet to explore the other side of these mountains.” Stomp Squatch said. “And there is a whole city and highway, good enough to attract attention to ensure more tablets.” Shadow Spawn smirked. “True, I could scout ahead and see what we’ll find.” Firefly added. “Go on then! Make sure to inform us if anything happens.” Hun-Gree ordered. (The dragon mech nodded, walking out of the cave and transforming. He flapped his wings before flying away.
Nyx and her brother looked at the tablets. The green feline traced her finger on some of the steel patterns) “What do you think happened to Airhead and his pals?” Nyx asked. “They either died or still searching.” Wildfire spoke. “A side of me wishes they died, but I kinda want them alive. They’d bow before us when we get the Enigma.” Nyx smiled. “Its always good to think about something to motivate us.” Wildfire replied. “We survived one war because of that, we’ll survive another.” Nyx purred.
