He converts fast from robot mode to massive cannon mode – and he combines with Onslaught (sold separately) to form Bruticus, a robot-tank Decepticon scientist! Keep converting him back and forth so he can handle whatever his foes dish out!

Defensor Protect. Bruticus Destroy.
Finally finished the illustration I’ve been teasing since my last big art post. It was an even bigger endeavour than the last one but I still had a lot of fun, like figuring out how best to draw the forcefield and the beam from Bruticus’ weapon. Pretty happy with how they came out. Also, I just wanted to say thanks to dcjosh who gave me some feedback after I posted this on DeviantART.
This is my tribute to the Combiner Wars (more so the toy line than the rather mediocre plot line from the comics).
I couldn’t draw my beloved Protectobots without drawing their combined form too, and as I was sketching down ideas I thought I should depict Defensor battling with his nemesis, Bruticus, who is my next favourite combiner.
That then got me thinking about the best way to present the battle between the two giants and I eventually came up with this composition. As a whole, the illustration would be this long “mural” like thing, but each half could also be it’s own separate illustration too. I think it worked.
I was also thinking of making this and the separate halves into prints… would people be interested in them if I did?

Scourge and Ruination (inks)
The last of my new art pieces for TFcon this year, unfortunately I don’t have time to do Sky-Byte or Depth Charge like I originally planned.
Kinda rushed Ruination on this one (not bad for my first time drawing a combiner tho).

It’s a really old sketch. Bruticus holding Blurr to give him a Bruti-kiss!
My idea of combiners in human!au is that akin to Evangelion or Voltron, with the exception that their mechas can fold into subspace as cybertronian technologies are highly advanced. It’s interesting to think about how the pilots are tied together once they are in the gestalt. Bruticus, being his own entity, absorbs the part of Swindle that has feelings for Blurr, so that affects them all.
