I need people to understand that when bruce says Jason is his biggest failure he does not mean that Jason is a bad person and that Jason is a failure, he means that not saving Jason was his biggest failure, he means he failed Jason and he will spend the rest of his life regretting that

I know this, but sometimes even certain writers don’t. Which is why I’m kind of against DC using this phrase since it keeps getting misinterpreted by writers and readers, and because it shits on Jason’s character. It a badly overused quote.

These tags should be seen by everyone @covertblizzard!!!

okay so obviously i know jason being batman’s son isn’t conditioned on him being robin and all that, but i mean the editorial decision to have post-crisis jason call bruce “mr wayne” until he finishes a mission as robin and bruce tells him he did well is…

Lol I never noticed this detail, this means that Jason called him “Mr. Wayne” for more than a year

Jason was trained for a year until he was good enough to be out in the field, I think this panel takes place after Jason’s first mission as Robin and Bruce finally tells him it’s ok that he could use his first name…

Does this mean that Bruce wanted to see if he could be a good Robin first to be able to call him by his first name and keep him around, or the writer didn’t realize what they wrote? Am I reading too much into it? Maybe. It’s not a good look for Bruce either way lol

During this period, Bruce has some questionable(?) morals and I wouldn’t be surprised if my theory is possible honestly ‍♀️
