That’s a wrap(!)
It’s hard to find the right faux fur when length of hair, thickness, and the thickness of the netting its sewn to all have to be very, very precise. I sifted through a lot of swatches, but nothing worked. The fur that was perfect had too thick a netting and would swallow the pommel. I ended up brushing out bundles of yarn and using those bundles for the fur detailing. It works for now, but would be more effective had I picked up yarn with more mixed colors or mixed my own.
The leather wrap and yarn are not glued on. It’s all held together with tension and can be taken apart if I ever need to make adjustments. I avoid glue when I can if it makes sense.
