First! Just what is BLAM! Ventures?

image

BLAM! Ventures is a guerrilla studio that ‘packages’ prose and comic projects for release through other publishers, including creator owned projects originated in house.  Projects are finished at BLAM!– pencils, colors, word balloons, graphic design, etc.– and then are offered to one of our many publishing partners. With five major graphic novel releases over a four year publishing history, BLAM! is now looking for a few good artists to become part of the magic that will be BLAM!s next wave of releases.

SUBMISSION:

Please tell us which book you are applying for (a good place to start!)

Send us links to jpeg samples of your sequential art that tells a story (6-10 pages), Illustrations & pin-ups (your top 5), a list of your previous experience in comics (not required, but helps!), your website that links to your digital portfolio (not required, but, again, helps.) Please try to show us your work that relates to the book you are applying to (i.e. for the Lovecraftian Book requires a pen & ink style with a pulpy style. Pulpy b&w examples would be a must for you to show us if you can do it.)

Please only apply if you are committed to finishing a complete graphic novel as per the estimated page counts listed above. Ownership in these IPs is dependent on delivering a completed publishable story. Only the serious need apply.
