i like to think their magic is protective, yknow?? that spells like darkness and invisibility and misty step only come out when they need to protect themself, and it’s a subconscious way that they keep themself safe

i really liked that prompt “draw your oc if the bad stuff had never happened” so i wanted to do it for cradove :3c
some key differences:
- their hair is a lot longer and neater, since they never cut it as a form of rebellion
- they have their ears pierced with traditional familial rings, because they were raised by their drow parents (and their parents were good)
- they have clothes that fit them instead of clothes that have gone through seven different people
- they’ve never gotten their hand smacked with a switch for stealing
- their tooth was never punched out of place
as far as if they’d be happier, though??? no, i don’t think so

what a happy family! i sure hope they don’t have opposing reactions to grief that rip their relationship apart and eventually make it so they’re unwilling to talk to each other!
