Happy Monday to ya! Here are some poses of Chuck, post ship explosion, from episode 3 of Kid Cosmic “The Precognitive Cat”.

Chuck was always a tricky character to get right for me. These poses come pretty close, but there are certain things I’d like to go back in and change if I could. Board drawings, in the bottom left by our awesome story team!

A very Happy Thursday to ya everybody! Hope all’s well with you and your’s.

This is arguably one of my favorite poses from my time on Kid (episode 3 “The Precognitive Cat”). Not necessarily because of how the rough turned out (though the board drawing itself was a fantastic one to build from), but because it really represented to me the reality of the story we were working on. Their was real heart behind these characters, real love and care for each other and, as a result, the potential for real loss and pain should things go wrong.

So grateful to have been a small part of telling a story like this one.

Happy Tuesday to ya! So here are a few of my first drawings of Rosa from episode two of Kid Cosmic “Nina Gigantica”.

I always loved how feisty Rosa is. For whatever reason, she was always a bit tricky for me to draw properly, but I loved the challenge just the same. I suppose it’s hard not to love a character like her.

Happy Thursday to ya! So early in my time on Kid I had the chance to help out with some board revisions. Here is one of those shots from episode two where Jo is trying to figure out if she can think of places to portal to. I think Flo’s line is “Aftershock! Everybody hit the deck!” And Jo says something like “No! Wrong people… think younger.” Certainly a bit different than my usual posts, but hopefully still fun to check out. Happy Thursday Cyberpals! Here are two more poses from Episode 1 of Kid Cosmic…. the first is when Kid goes back to move Rosa out of the road before saying “Stay safe citizen!” The second is Jo’s reaction to seeing kid fly for the first time. Both got huge laughs at the neighborhood premier we had on Feb2 and it was super cool to experience that moment with friends and family for the first time. As always, boards and bgs done by other awesome artists on the crew!

Happy Monday to ya! Here are some of my first episodic drawings of Kid, Jo, and Tuna Sandwich from “Kid Cosmic and the Rings of Power”.

I’m not sure exactly how I ended up with the pose of Kid squishing Tuna’s cheeks, but it’s probably one of my favorite assignments from my time on the show. And who wouldn’t want a chance to draw a disgruntled Stuck Chuck, right!? Fun times!

In all of these, the board drawings were really strong, so the challenge was more about not screwing that up as opposed to anything else. Boards and bg layouts done by other awesome artists of those respective teams
