RELEASE THE SHRIMP!!
So, I know I haven’t been active on here lately, but I just wanted to share that I am officially joining the aquarist club!!
I’m starting slow, and my tank has been fully cycled over the past month, so now I get to add some life! I went with “Orange Bee Shrimp” (Neocaridina davidii, they’re a colour morph of the popular Red Cherry Shrimp) and they are SO cute. Picked ‘em since they’re orange and match my blackwater-style tank. And hopefully will blend in with the tank so when I eventually get a fish, the shrimp will be able to hide.
They’re so cute, and one of 'em is carrying eggs, so hopefully I get some babby shrimplets soon, if they’re happy.
The tank is a 10 gallon, btw! Lots of room for these two lil shrimpies to have fun! I’m also testing the water, ofc, so I’m making sure everything is as safe as possible for them. Also, manually acclimated them to my tank over like 3 hours lol. I love spoiling my pets.
