Celebrating your birthday with Heartslabyul
Trey wants to know your OC’s favourite cake because their birthday is coming. Do they celebrate their birthday? Do they like cake? If not what kind of food do they like because Trey wants to make it for them. He’s lowkey organising a party at Heartslabyul too.
Ace and Deuce sure look more excited than you even though it’s your birthday. The grin is wiped off when Riddle hands them chores to do~
Riddle makes sure everyone at Heartslabyul is in attendance at the party. Is your OC good with social interaction or do they get anxious?
Cater wouldn’t let them go without at least one picture though!
« speaking of, when is your birthday? » deuce asked, hand to his chin as he tried to remember if yuu had mentioned its birthday in previous conversations, drawing an unfortunate blank.
yuu furrowed its brows.
« … i can’t recall. » it finally answered after a pregnant pause.
« wait, seriously?? don’t tell me it got lost in transit. » ace gawked.
it shook its head. as far as its aware, its faculties had not been otherwise altered in any way from being transported into a different world.
« no, it’s simply because i’ve never bothered to remember it. »
« oh… that’s too bad… » deuce mumbled sadly.
yuu watched their expressions fall. it felt rather intrigued by how… disappointed its friends looked at this revelation. did they… want to celebrate it?
« i know it happened in august. late august i think? because not long after the ceremony, school would start back again. »
ace and deuce instantly perked up, their faces lighting up in excitement at the same time, and yuu’s lips quirking up slightly at their synchrony.
« as for the date… i’m afraid i don’t know. why don’t you two decide for me? » it added.
it’s a little bittersweet, it thinks. its birthday had never been yuu’s to begin with. not yuu’s to look forwards to, not yuu’s to celebrate, not yuu’s to remember. it supposed it’s only natural that, now that it had forgotten, yuu would let others choose its new birthdate.
after a brief discussion, it seemed that the pair had come to a consensus on yuu’s twisted wonderland birthdate: « then how about the 28th? »
« we can throw a party and enjoy ourselves without worrying about classes the very next day! » ace cheered.
« and it’s a few days after the dorm leader’s, so we’ve got time to make it an absolute blast!! » deuce beamed.
«28th of august it is. » yuu nods.

I understand how it must have caught them off guard when asked to express their feelings. It may be new bit always welcome imo ✨

Riddle was rendered speechless when he learned that Malleus was to tower over him and Yuu. The tall Diasomnia student in the middle of Riddle and Yuu. Cater clicks pics and the awkwardness of all 3 makes his notifs go BOOM BOOM

ue ue ue yess happiness for my repressed lil scrunkly yuu finally finds ppl that like him and want him to just be himself (a neurotic, sometimes awkward, weirdo) instead of pretending to be a perfect charming boy
just adeuce being supportive and well-meaning, albeit sometimes exasperating, friends, trey being patient, cater being yuu’s trauma buddy , and riddle wanting to be there for his senpai in the same way yuu has always offered a shoulder for him soung of crying
i feel whoever the person that “yuu” was has long died, he just hasn’t realised it yet, but a new birthdate is the start of it. i want him to experience many good and enjoyable times from now on :)

there are two (2) very noteworthy things in this image: something almost as rare as a wild malleus sighting!!!! a very rare genuine smiling yuu!!!!i’ve heard that if you can collect 10 of them, you can trade them in for a free goodie at sam’s mystery shop!
