#culmets months

Thank you for the thank yous 

Inspired by recent messages from people just discovering the Honey Mushroom series, I’ve finally gotten around to posting all the rest of the chapters to AO3, too. Like I’ve meant to do for years (I know… *urgh*).

Here they are:

Honey Mushroom(which includes the Months chapters)
andBecalmed(the early and still surprisingly dear separate narrative)

I also felt the need/opportunity to dig out some of the chapters that were once left awaiting only finishing touches (or, you know, illustrations… but since that didn’t happen…) and just went ahead and posted those, too.

The two ‘new’ chapters added:

Last Call to Deneva
Which actually starts this all off, chronologically. Satisfying to finally add another early chapter with Justin. Who was nowhere to be seen here in the comic pages (For f’s sake, I can’t believe I still have to go on about the same dang comic, after years!! Geez…).

Initiation
M for sexy times. My gods, you have no idea how satisfying it was to finally finish this chapter! *ha* Talk about blue balls; I always felt like the absence of this left the subsequent car scene quite without it’s full awkward value. And yes, again with the damn comic (that’s what prompted all of these ‘Months’ after all); this one extending the scene of Hugh surprising Paul during the Discovery inspection tour.

Filled at least couple of the gaps. Which after so long a while feels very… you got it: satisfying (the word of the day). And keeps up a sparkle of hope, that the chapters left unfinished are still not quite a dead project yet, and that there might be spark for further inspirations still. There certainly are couple chapters left so well on their way, I’ve kept wishing I’d return to them some day (and have done so too in couple occasions; whipped the files out and added a word or two here and there, to keep them from getting completely buried under newer files).

“Understanding”.

But, goodness. I now realize how I’ve been missing this: just writing what ever the heck.

I’ve been seriously worried about some of my familiar depressed thoughts from years ago creeping back to me lately, and though immersing into the writing process itself is often nurturing this downer feeling and isolation from reality, the posting of the works, and knowing that people enjoy them is quite the opposite. As clearly is rambling on about them…

I’d really need to embrace this outlet again and the healing power of shit-posting.

Anyway! Thank you, all, indeed, for such encouraging messages. It’s been the definite highlight of the past couple of weeks to receive love for these two again. And truly uplifting and humbling to hear, that these narratives still continue to give people joy.

(Oh, and thanks for the Bond love, too. Took me years to do anything about those two too, and it’s great to see they’ve gotten a tiny tour within the fandom lately as well <3)
